Nrityam – Academy of Bharatnatyam is one of the premier Indian Classical Dance Schools based in Ahmedabad (Gujarat). It was established in 2009 by Smt. Heenali Ravish Sheth with intention to promote & teach Bharat Natyam - one of the oldest and graceful classical dance forms, as well as to spread our rich Indian culture in the National & international arena.
The main focus of academy is to enhance interest for Bharat Natyam among our students and to provide them a proper platform for their future in genre of Indian classical dance. The academy offers an equal opportunity to all age groups. Here students’ age vary from 4 year old blooming buds to older, married women. Under the direction of Smt. Heenali, students are receiving sound training in the practise and theory of Bharatnatyam. She believes that Bharat Natyam is not a mere dance media but it also enriches the personality of the students. It helps them by developing skills like graceful body movements, stage confidence as well as self-confidence. It also provides an opportunity to connect to and relate to our Indian culture.
Nrityam has emerged as trusted name in teaching Bharat Natyam. The academy has grown from strength to strength by training several hundred students over the years. The phenomenal strides achieved in these past years mark the institution as a microcosm of joy, energy, awareness, sense of accomplishment and integrity.
